Thank you for the update, Raphael. That is interesting about what you saw through the microscope. Too bad you couldn't have captured it with a camera. We have a section here on the forum for pictures that have been taken through a microscope. I hope you find out for sure what it is.
I'm sorry that you could not pull the rest of the fish out of it but like it's been already said, if they are too far gone then there isn't much you can do but to euthanize them. ![]() I hope the rest of your fish continue to do good for you. Deb

Thanks for the kind words, Deb. Unfortunately, the microscope was not set up to take photos. I was rather hoping that someone had seen something similar on their fish in the past but no one has posted anything. I would love to know where such a rare disease came from. I used to buy live daphnia for my angels- perhaps this was contaminated. I will probably never know. I just hope that it is not still lurking in my show tank!
